How we started
Compliance is a complete nightmare. Yet we’ve accepted how it’s been done, for way too long.
As the rest of the world innovates around us, we continue to get lost in a black hole of Excel spreadsheets. I’ve been there – as a responsible manager, digging for answers nobody could explain.
Frustrated, I had a choice; leave the industry, or change it.
After working in insurance for more than 17 years, in more than 25 countries, I knew it inside out. But to truly innovate, I needed people from outside the industry.
Experts in tech, CX and service, who weren’t interested in tweaking what’s broken, but who relished the blank sheet and created something so fresh, so different, that it solved problems that most didn’t even know existed!
It’s a huge jump. Curium takes insurances businesses from behind the curve and moves them way ahead of it. And that’s brilliant.

After a great growth story of $120m in less than 2 years, she decided to start her own technology business to help every insurance business get ahead.
David’s greatest passion has always been solving a really complex problem. Over the past twenty years, he has worked for multiple companies developing cutting-edge technologies across a wide spectrum—from software development to block chain. David has been an entrepreneur for most of his life and understands the power of scale and impact. He’s motivated by the untapped opportunity to help the entire insurance industry by solving a really complex problem.
With a 19-year career in product innovation and implementation, Alex leads the product team at Curium. Alex has worked across multiple industries and countries, contributing to the development and execution of effective product strategies. His global experience and keen eye for detail support Curium’s goal of enhancing compliance and claims management through advanced SaaS solutions.
John’s experience in education and leadership coaching highlights his passion and empathy. Starting as a teacher, he developed inclusive spaces and enhanced teamwork and communication during his military service. John has led award-winning sales teams in South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia. His emotional intelligence and motivational skills help others exceed expectations. John provides strategic insights into innovation, operations, customer service, and sales, empowering individuals and fostering supportive environments.
