Compliance Audit is a tool in the Curium platform that runs AI-assisted audits of client files for insurance brokers. Each audit checks one file against an audit template, step by step, and every check produces a finding with the evidence it relied on. ### What does one audit cover? One client file: one insured and one policy. You attach the documents and emails for that file, and the audit works through the template's steps in order. ### How does the AI reach a decision? Each step is made up of checks with written criteria for what passes and what fails. The AI assesses each check against the attached documents and records a finding with quoted evidence. The step's outcome is then decided from those findings. Where the evidence is missing, the step fails. The AI does not fill the gap with a guess. ### What happens when the AI isn't sure? It asks. The audit moves to Waiting and shows the auditor a question. Once the auditor answers, the run picks up where it stopped. ### Does Compliance Audit replace our auditors? No. The AI does the reading and drafts the findings. Your auditors answer its questions, can request a re-assessment or override a decision with a reason, and decide which findings are logged as incidents or complaints. Each of those actions is recorded in the audit's activity log. ### What files can we attach? PDF, Word (DOCX) and Excel (XLSX) files, emails (EML and MSG) and images (PNG, JPG, GIF, WEBP and HEIC). Emails are unpacked so each attachment becomes its own evidence file, and scanned pages are read with OCR. An audit can hold up to 100 files of up to 10 MB each. ### Who writes the audit template? Curium sets up your audit templates. A template is a set of sections, steps and checks, each with its own pass and fail criteria. Templates are versioned: a published version can't be edited, and every audit keeps the version it ran against. ### Which obligations does an audit check? That depends on the template. Broker templates draw on obligations such as Financial Services Guide timing under the Corporations Act, the duty of disclosure under the Insurance Contracts Act, and renewal timeframes under the Insurance Brokers Code of Practice. ### What do we get at the end of an audit? Each step ends as Pass, Fail or Not applicable, with the findings and evidence behind it. Failed steps raise potential incidents matched to your obligations register, and emails in the file are screened for potential complaints. You can download the whole audit as a PDF, including citations, notes and the activity log. ### Who can see and run audits? Access is controlled by two roles. Compliance Audit Managers create and run audits, answer questions and override decisions. Compliance Audit Readers have read-only access and can download the PDF. ### Is our data secure? Curium's information security management system is certified to ISO/IEC 27001 by DNV.
