During the webinar, we will cover the key obligations under the incoming Prudential Standard (which will replace existing APRA Prudential Standards CPS 231 (Outsourcing) and CPS 232 (Business Continuity) from 1 July 2025). We will also provide practical guidance on and examples of how it can affect insurers and insurance intermediaries.
Tetiana is the CEO and Co-Founder of Curium, a no-code tech platform that runs end-ton-end claims and compliance. During the past 17 years Tetiana has worked for most of the large global insurers as consultant with the Boston Consulting Group and Oliver Wyman (part of Marsh McLennan Group).
She advised firms in more than 20 countries across variety of areas from strategy to operations and product design. Tetiana came to Australia in 2017 and joined Blue Zebra Insurance as Head of Claims & Operations. Having experienced the power of technology firsthand, she started Curium to enable insurers, underwriting agencies, and brokers to enter the market and scale in record time.
Yvonne is a Principal with Gilchrist Connell, heading up the Corporate Insurance & Insurtech team, with expertise in a broad range of corporate law areas such as establishment of operations, regulatory licensing and distribution, regulatory investigations, mergers & acquisitions, corporate restructures, director’s duties, corporate governance and compliance for the insurance sector. Yvonne has been recognised as a recommended lawyer in the Legal 500 Asia Pacific (2021 and 2020) for Insurance and for Regulatory Investigations and Compliance (2020). She was a finalist in the Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards (2021) for Special Counsel of the Year, and also the Lawyers Weekly 30 under 30 Awards (2018) for Commercial Law. Yvonne has been awarded the inaugural Susan Gin Scholarship to attend the William Ah Ket Leadership Program run by the ANU Centre for Asian-Australian Leadership in 2023.
Nitesh has proven and extensive expertise in contentious and non-contentious cyber, technology, privacy, data security and incident response matters. He is recognised as an industry leading 5-star Cyber Lawyer by Australasian Lawyers. In 2023, he was a finalist for Cyber Security Lawyer of the Year by CyberSecurity Connect and Cyber Partner of the Year by Lawyers Weekly.
Nitesh advises clients on their obligations under privacy and data security legislation, including under the Privacy Act, APRA CPS 234 and the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act. This includes providing guidance on their privacy, data security and breach response frameworks, as well as contractual obligations.
More broadly, Nitesh helps businesses limit the pain and loss they may suffer from cyber incidents and technology disputes. He has acted in matters of all sizes, from those involving SMEs to disputes arising from high profile incidents involving multinational corporations and listed companies.
He acts as a breach coach for cyber incidents, advises on notification obligations, corresponds with regulators on queries arising from incidents and acts for clients in litigated technology and cyber security disputes. Nitesh also understands the role of cyber and technology insurance policies. He has provided coverage advice in cyber and technology matters and assisted in drafting cyber and technology insurance policy wordings.
